[Creativity] Doing Something Different with What Already Exists

Creative expression takes many forms.

Creative expression doesn’t always have to result in something completely new.

It is entirely valid that creative expression can be to take something that already exists and re-image it, refresh it, or re-express it in a new way.

Like has been done recently with cupcakes. Simple child-hood birthday treats that have had new combinations of flavors and design.

Just has has been done in today’s example.

Excellent cellist Steven Sharp Nelson has taken the Prelude from Bach’s Cello Suite No. 1 in G major, which was written for one cello, and refreshed it for eight cellos.

And he has done all eight parts himself. With feeling and style.

And beauty.

Be inspired as you watch the video.

Maybe we don’t always need to feel pressured to come up with something completely new and original.

What’s something that you could revisit this week and express in a fresh way? Please, leave a comment below.

(Thanks, Matthew)
