For this week’s Creativity Inspiration, we turn to Coca-Cola. In celebration of their 125th anniversary, Coca-Cola is decking out their headquarters building in downtown Atlanta with environmental projection. What? You aren’t familiar with environmental projection? It’s when images are projected onto surfaces that you wouldn’t think to project upon. For example, instead of screens, buildings are used.
As part of their anniversary, Coca-Cola is projecting images, scenes, and highlights from throughout their history on their building each night. Check out the video below.
I understand they are using three projectors to accomplish this.
Why use this as a Creativity post? What if you projected images and video on the outside of your building at Christmas to celebrate the birth of Christ or at Easter time to draw people’s attention back to Christ? Or maybe develop a video sequence that you could project on an interior wall that people would see as they walked in celebrating the people and ministry of the church?
The possibilities are endless…
Cities are so cool and you know I love Atlanta! Your creative mind and continual search for expression never ceases to amaze me!
