Do you remember the flip books you made in elementary school. Each page would have a figure that moved a little bit from scene to scene, and when you flipped quickly through the pages, it looked like your character was moving.
Stop motion takes that to the next level. It is a series of pictures taken that have a small change from picture to picture. When they are all put together, you can create the illusion of characters and objects that don’t normally have life moving. Think Gumby, the California Raisins, etc. It’s like the computer animation done by Pixar, but with real objects.
I had seen this before, but ran across it again recently. This has to be one the most fluid and organic stop motions I’ve seen. Check it out.
